    Dr. Alireza Minagar is a distinguished researcher and expert in neurological diseases, renowned for his groundbreaking work in clinical trial design and for his tenure as a department chair and neurology professor at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center from 2001 to 2020. His pioneering research has notably enhanced our understanding of endothelial microparticles as markers of chronic and acute inflammation in conditions like multiple sclerosis. Additionally, Dr. Minagar played a pivotal role in establishing the first stroke center in North Louisiana, a critical resource for the region's residents.

     

    A native of Iran, Dr. Minagar pursued his medical degree at the University of Tehran School of Medicine. His journey to the United States in the mid-1990s marked the beginning of a series of advanced medical studies, first at Mount Vernon Hospital and New York Medical College, followed by a neurology residency at both New York University and the University of Miami. Further honing his expertise, he completed a fellowship at the University of Miami, specializing in multiple sclerosis and clinical neuroimmunology.

     

    In addition to his medical qualifications, Dr. Minagar has also acquired an MBA from LSU Shreveport and a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of Maryland Global Campus. As an accomplished medical writer, he possesses a vast and varied knowledge base, covering everything from stroke and cerebrovascular disease to multiple sclerosis. Dr. Minagar maintains a keen interest in the confluence of bioinformatics and monoclonal antibodies. His extensive experience includes overseeing clinical trials for Alferon-N (Interferon AN3) and Interferon, further cementing his status as a leader in the field of neurologic disease research.
